- Unique handmade earrings featuring a gorgeous moissanite stone. Moissanite is a lab grown mineral made up of silicon carbide with minimal environmental impact. It is one of the hardest substances known, with a hardness just below that of diamond.The earrings were made using an ancient Japanese technique called Mitsuro Hikime.
